Marked Tree School District is proud to announce a big day for our school and our community members!
On February 25th, 2020, Marked Tree School District is partnering with the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State and having our Pre-K and Kindergarten registration day for the 2020-2021 school year. Parents wishing to enroll their child in Kindergarten or Pre-K at Marked Tree can fill out an enrollment form, turn in necessary papers, and then visit the NYIT medical trailer and receive a free physical, which is required for Pre-K and Kindergarten. This will eliminate the need for you to spend money on a doctor’s visit!
The NYIT Medical Staff will also hold health screenings, blood pressure checks, and check blood sugar for any resident who is interested. Over the coming weeks, we will distribute newsletters, registration forms, and permission slips. The times will be from 2:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Please keep checking on Facebook and our website for more information.
Over the course of this year, the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State has hosted our students for several events, including 9th and 10th graders for a campus tour and we are taking 10 more students for a structure, function, and technology outreach program. At this event, our students will have an opportunity to see several modalities on the structure and function of the human body, how technology is enhancing the medical field, and rotate through stations in the anatomy lab to learn about specific anatomical structures. Each summer, we have students who get to participate in Project HEART, which is also held at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State.
The NYIT Medical Staff will also return on April 22-24 to conduct free athletic physicals for our district.
Marked Tree School District is excited about growing our partnership with the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State!
