Before I started teaching, I was an Office Manager at Cross County Realty in Wynne.  In 2016, I began the APPEL program and got a position teaching business at Crossett High School in Crossett, AR.  While at Crossett, I assisted with FBLA and was sponsor for the Eaglettes Dance Team for two years.

I have a son, Brandon, who graduated from Crossett High School in 2019.  In fall 2019, he begins college at Arkansas State University.  He will be a part of "The Sound of the Natural State."

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, shopping,
napping, and watching Red Wolf football!

It is important to me to be involved in my community and in the world.  Over the years, I have been involved in church, Habitat for Humanity, Relay For Life, and Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.

My Teaching Story:
When I was younger, I wanted to be a teacher (Before that, an astronaut!  Actually, I still do!).  My mother was a teacher for 41 years.  She started out teaching 3rd grade (Bless her!), then moved to Adult Education.  For the last 30 years of her teaching career, she taught 2nd grade (She added many jewels to her crown!).  I knew teaching was not an easy profession from watching her spend countless hours preparing for her students.  Over the years, what I wanted to be when I grew up changed.  It was Accounting, then Vocal Music Education.  I eventually settled on Business Administration with dreams of getting a Masters degree, so I could work with college students.  I did do that, but working with college students was not in the cards at the time.  I discovered the APPEL program where I could get my teaching license while teaching.  Yes!!!

I know I made the right decision becoming a teacher.  I love my students!  I love learning new things!

I love helping to prepare students for life after high school.
My planning period is first period (8:02am-8:49am).
