    therefore, teachers are held accountable to high levels of performance.
  2. Building relationships with students is critical for learning.
  3. Professional development is relevant and ongoing to insure the improvement
    of the effectiveness of ALL staff members.
  4. Instruction is based upon individual student needs.
  5. High expectations are held for ALL students.
  6. Teachers must believe that every child is of value and can be taught.
  7. Students must be highly engaged and provided opportunities to share
    learning experiences.
  8. The school provides students with a risk-free learning environment.
