Dear Parents and Guardians,
Football season is here and the excitement level is building! There is certainly a different buzz around school today.
We are excited to welcome everyone back to Don Lovell Memorial Field! Please remember that tonight will be busier than usual since an additional town will be participating. Game times are:
Juniors vs. Osceola– 5:30 p.m.
Seniors vs. Melbourne – 7:00 p.m.
In order to create a safe and positive environment for all students, families, athletes, and fans, we ask that you carefully review and follow the following expectations at our games:
1. Elementary students must be accompanied by their parents/guardians.
2. High school students are expected to sit in the student section unless with a parent.
For tonight, we understand that the student section may not have its usual designated area due to the larger crowd, but all high school students are still expected to remain on the home side of the field.
3. Students may not bring balls or other play equipment to the games.
4. All school rules and dress code apply during games.
5. Only school personnel are allowed on the sidelines.
6. Fans must display good sportsmanship toward players, coaches, officials, and other fans.
7. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children at all times.
8. No outside food or drinks, tobacco, alcohol, or vaping are permitted.
9. Failure to follow these expectations may result in removal from the game.
We also need to share a few important facility updates:
Parking: Parking will not be allowed between the football field and the elementary school. These areas must remain clear for officials and for the entrance/exit of our opposing teams.
Sideline Changes: You will notice that we have increased the size of the home sideline for our student athletes (football and cheer). We felt it was important to move the fence back to reduce the number of collisions between players and the fence. We also wanted to give our cheerleaders the space they need to perform without people walking through their area.
We realize that many fans enjoy standing along the fence to watch the game. While this is still allowed, there is not nearly as much room as before. However, the bleachers have been expanded, and we encourage you to make use of that seating. This adjustment was made entirely with the safety of our student-athletes in mind.
We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Our goal is to provide a safe, family-friendly environment that allows our football players and cheerleaders to shine. Thank you for your continued support of our students and our program.
Sincerely,
Matt Wright
