At a board meeting on Tuesday, August 10th, Marked Tree School District adopted a mask policy for this school year. While the mask policy is being used to start the year, board members were adamant that the district periodically discuss the necessity of the mandate and lifting it when it is safe to do so.
Students in our district had to quarantine over 3000 days and there were an additional 400 days of teacher COVID absences. By enacting a COVID mask policy, MTSD hopes to keep absences to a minimum.
