MTSD is proud to announce it is moving to a new format for our school calendar. MTSD has decided, after careful consideration, to move forward with a hybrid schedule. The reason for adopting a new calendar is as follows:
1. Decrease summer learning loss.
2. Allow for more frequent breaks for students. By doing so, the district hopes to decrease student absences while increasing student engagement.
3. Allow teachers more opportunities to plan during the school year. Hopefully, this also encourages teachers to want to stay in our district due to increased breaks during the school year.
