Two of our Indians, Donny Childs, Jr. and Kenyon Carter, were voted by the Arkansas Basketball Coaches Association for being in the top five players in Class A. These young men represented our school and community in a manner that reflects a champion. We are grateful for them.
Conquer and Prevail.

This afternoon, seven young men and women traveled to Highland to represent the Marked Tree High School Band at Solo and Ensemble.
All seven medaled. Four students received ratings of excellent and three students received ratings of superior.
Words cannot express how proud we are of them.
Conquer and Prevail.

Due to the water leak at our elementary school, MTSD will take an AMI day on Thursday. We will keep you updated on our progress. We are sorry for the inconvenience this creates for your family.
We are resending this due to the AT&T network being down earlier today. Sorry for bothering you!

Due to the water leak at our elementary school, MTSD will take an AMI day on Thursday. We will keep you updated on our progress. We are sorry for the inconvenience this creates for your family.

There will be school tomorrow and there will be no issues with the water. We just wanted to give you the opportunity to be prepared for Thursday should we need to take an AMI day.

Parents,
It is highly probable that our district will need to take an AMI day on Thursday. There is a significant water leak on our elementary campus. In order to fix this leak, we need to shut the water off to the elementary school for several hours. When this happens, it impacts many areas of our operations. Kids wouldn't be able to use the bathroom and we would have issues with cooking and serving lunch.
We are meeting with those in charge of the repair tomorrow to review the final plan. We wanted to let you know so you could make plans for Thursday. We will inform everyone tomorrow as soon as we can and we will keep you updated as we go. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

Please join us for Fine Arts Night. We will have a reception at the conclusion of the event!

Two important reminders for tomorrow:
1. No school due to professional development for teachers.
2. Kindergarten AND PRE-K round-up is tomorrow beginning at 9:00. Click https://tinyurl.com/yckcc4r5 for more details!

Here is your baseball and softball schedule this week! Conquer and Prevail.

Due to the threat of significant weather, MTSD will dismiss at 1:15 at the elementary school and 1:30 at the high school.
Storm shelters will be open on both campuses by 2:30. You can enter the elementary storm shelter through the main entrance and enter the high school through the auditorium (the old entrance).

Parents,
There is an enhanced risk of significant weather tomorrow. Currently, it looks like the weather will arrive around 3:00 when we are dismissing. Our concern is that around dismissal the entire community is on the move. This risk to our community causes us great concern. Therefore, our approach over the past few years has been to ensure that we dismiss early enough for kids and buses to get home or to hold buses if it didn’t appear significant weather would last too long after our regular dismissal.
While we don’t know what the weather will bring tomorrow, we wanted to let you know that we will be watching the weather very closely and that we might need to adjust our day. As always, instruction will take place and we will take attendance. We do not want for you to keep you child home. However, we want to help make sure our entire community stays safe. Please have your phone around you tomorrow and check regularly on social media.

Spring Break is over and we are geared up and ready to go! We can’t wait to see the kids tomorrow. Here is what is happening this week at MTSD!
