We will have school tomorrow to make sure kids have all their work they need and to provide food for Thursday and Friday. We hope this gives you the opportunity to make any needed arrangements. Thank you for your patience during this tough time.

Over the past few days, we have been paying close attention to our COVID numbers. There has been a significant increase in the students who are isolated and quarantined. The number of absences has increased dramatically, as well. Today, over 20% of our student body is absent.
In an effort to reduce the potential spread of COVID and to give anyone experiencing symptoms time to be tested, MTSD will take AMI days on Thursday and Friday. On Monday, our school is out for the MLK holiday. School will be back in session on Tuesday, January 18th.

Due to the potential inclement weather and COVID-related staffing issues, Marked Tree School District is utilizing an AMI day for Thursday, January 6th.
The forecast is not clear and there could be weather coming around the time that our buses run. We would rather err on the side of caution and student safety.

Parents,
There is a possibility of inclement weather tomorrow. Moving forward, we will notify you about school closings on our website (markedtreeschools.com), through text and a phone call, and through social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).

We are proud to announce that MTHS has received the Highly Effective School Accreditation. This accreditation is a significant achievement that reflects Marked Tree High School’s commitment to reaching and maintaining the highest levels of educational quality. Marked Tree High School earned this accreditation by maintaining and growing identified areas having the biggest impact on student learning and growth. These areas are directly aligned to the Professional Learning Communities at Work® (PLC) process and the High Reliability SchoolsTM (HRS) framework.
MTES earned their accreditation earlier in this year. This makes MTSD one of the few districts in Arkansas to have all of its school accredited.
