Homecoming is being postponed. We will hold all homecoming festivities from October 11th-October 15th. Monday, October 4- Tutoring at high school from 3:20-4:00 in math, literacy, and science. Tuesday, October 5- Tutoring at high school from 3:20-4:00 in math, literacy, and science. Wednesday, October 6 Thursday, October 7- Tutoring at high school from 3:20-4:00 in math, literacy, and science. Our Jr. Indians will travel to Cross County. The game will begin at 7:00 Friday, October 8- Elementary will wear tribe shirts. There will be no senior high game vs. Cross County. This game will be rescheduled. Upcoming Events October 19th- Fall Picture/Sr. Retakes. High school clubs and organizations will take pictures. October 29th- Elementary 1st Qtr. Awards November 1st- MTSD will hold a flu shot clinic. Forms will be sent out in the coming weeks.

Marked Tree High School, in conjunction with ASU ERZ, is hosting an ACT bootcamp on Saturday, November 13. This is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. More information will be coming, but mark you calendar!

At this time, Coach Wages is trying to find another game due our junior high team only having 6 games because we are in such a small conference. If we don't have anything by 12:00, there will be no junior high game tonight.

Hope everyone had a great week! Here is the schedule for next week… Next week at MTSD Mon., Sept. 13- After school tutoring from 3:20-4:00. Tennis will play at Allen Park versus CRA and Earle at 4:00 p.m. Tues., Sept. 14- There will be no high school tutoring. We will have Parent/Teacher Conferences. School will be dismissed at 1:15 for elementary and 1:30 for high school. Conferences will be from 1:30-6:00. If you plan on attending PTC, please wear a mask. Golf will play at Manila at 3:00. Thurs., Sept. 16- High school tutoring will be available. Golf will play at Blytheville at 3:00. Tennis will play Riverside at Marked Tree starting at 4:00. Jr. High plays Newport at Marked Tree at 7:00. Fri., Sept. 17-Elementary wears tribe colors. Sr. High plays at Piggott at 7:00. Upcoming Sept. 22- Fall picture Day Sept. 24- Jrs./Srs. Since the beginning of school, we have been able to keep our COVID numbers relatively low. We believe this is due to several mitigation factors such as masks, cleaning practices, and other health protocols. Having just completed a holiday weekend, we believe it is imperative that we be even more diligent than we have. Over the next 10 days, we ask that you join us in watching your child closely for symptoms. Our only intention is to try and keep our kids safe and the number of cases in our district low. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Please watch for the following symptoms: Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. We ask that students stay home while these symptoms persist or until you receive a negative COVID test. Students can participate in their class while they area out via zoom links that we have set up. Instructions on how to login to your child's class will be coming this week and will also be shared online in the next few days. If you child is sick, please keep them at home. There will be a FREE vaccination clinic for our jr. high rivalry game against EPC on Sept. 9th at Don Lovell Memorial Field! The clinic will start at 6:00 and last until 7:30! Please bring insurance information. You will not be billed. Kickoff at 7:00! Conquer and Prevail!
