Pick-up at the elementary school today will be normal. No need for changes. Thanks for your patience!

When around the elementary school on Monday and Tuesday, please use extreme caution. Dismissal on Monday and Tuesday will not be an issue. We will be able to use the car loop and the road, but will have dedicated space for cars to travel. Please watch for students and construction workers while around the school on Monday and Tuesday. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we will all be happier on Wednesday!

The gravel road paving project at the elementary school will begin tomorrow morning. It was our hope this would be completed before our return, but there was a delay on getting asphalt.
The gravel road and elementary car loop will be closed in the morning. All buses and cars will drop off at the entrance of the car loop on 6th Street. Teachers will be there helping students and our school resource office, along with county and city police, will be there to assist with traffic control. Please have your student ready to exit the vehicle when it is your turn. Also, please do not let your student out of the vehicle until your car is approached by a school official.

This gravel road holds a lot of memories. We have all walked down this road, hung out with our friends here, and picked our kids up…it has seen a lot of traffic through the years.
Next week, there is going to be a big change. We will begin paving this road and replacing areas of the car line.
As many bad things as we can say about the gravel road, there was one good thing. It forced us to slow down. This made it safer for our students. When we return, please continue to drive carefully. We hope you enjoy this upgrade as we continue improve our district.

Reminder: The deadline to order school pictures is September 30th.
To view and order your pictures visit galleries.photoday.io and enter your child’s school access code.
You can contact the elementary or high school for your child’s access code if it was lost or misplaced.

On Sept. 29th and Sept. 30th, our district is hosting an Emergency Active Attack Response scenario. The Poinsett County Sheriff's Department anticipates 75 to 100 police officers, fire fighters, EMTs, and other First Responders.
On these days, you will see many emergency vehicles on our campuses. You might hear sirens at different times throughout the day and may see a helicopter landing on our football field. This is all part of training. Please do not be alarmed. Our school will not be in session on these days due to fall break.
We appreciate the Poinsett County Sheriff's Department for working to protect our students and community.

Congrats to Coach Wilburn! She spent the weekend working for Ja Morant of the Grizzlies at one of his camps as an instructor and coach.
Conquer and Prevail.

It was a good night. It was a great week. Our kids had a blast and so many in our community made it possible.
God bless you, Marked Tree. Conquer and Prevail.

As we prepare for our Homecoming ballgame tonight, we hope we will have a great crowd! Because of this, we need to ask for your help in an area.
There are times people have to park on 6th Street and 9th Street for our football games. Last Friday, a group of our kids were walking down the road and a tragedy almost occurred. We anticipate more parked cars and cars traveling down the road, so we know our students and others won't be as visible. To help with this, we are renting two light towers and placing them in our main areas of concern. We have also asked for additional help from local law enforcement to help control traffic and keep our kids safe as we leave the ballgame. Please be alert as you leave the ballgame and help us keep all of our Indians safe!

Congrats to our Jr. Indians on their first win on the season!

After three quarters, the Jr. Indians are up 16-0.
